Abu Dhabi has announced a major housing support initiative ahead of Eid Al Adha 2026, as His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, approved a housing benefits package worth AED1.54 billion ($419 million) for Emirati citizens across the emirate.

The new housing package, announced under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, aims to strengthen family wellbeing, enhance social stability, and provide sustainable housing solutions for local citizens.

AED1.41 Billion Housing Loans to Support Emirati Families

The approved package includes housing loans valued at AED1.41 billion, benefiting 929 Emirati citizens throughout Abu Dhabi.

In addition, exemptions from housing loan repayments totaling AED123 million were approved for 145 beneficiaries, including senior citizens, low-income retirees, and families of deceased citizens.

The latest initiative reflects Abu Dhabi leadership’s continued commitment to improving the quality of life for citizens while ensuring access to suitable housing and long-term social support.

Housing Package Announced Ahead of Eid Al Adha 2026

The disbursement of the second housing package of 2026 comes ahead of Eid Al Adha, highlighting the UAE leadership’s ongoing efforts to promote family stability and social cohesion during important national and religious occasions.

Officials stated that the initiative supports the government’s broader development vision by addressing citizens’ housing needs through inclusive and sustainable programs.

Abu Dhabi Leadership Reinforces Social Stability

His Excellency Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA), expressed appreciation to the UAE leadership for prioritizing citizens’ needs and social wellbeing.

He emphasized that the leadership remains committed to ensuring dignified living standards and suitable housing for Emirati families, contributing to a more secure and cohesive society.

According to Al Shorafa, the housing initiatives play an important role in supporting the nation’s long-term development goals while enhancing the overall wellbeing of citizens across the emirate.

His Excellency Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to continuously developing housing programs and services for citizens.

He noted that the latest housing benefits package reflects the leadership’s strong dedication to supporting Emirati families and strengthening social stability across Abu Dhabi.

Al Muhairi added that ADHA continues working to simplify access to housing services while advancing the emirate’s housing sector in line with the UAE leadership’s future vision.

Abu Dhabi Housing Benefits Reach AED5.76 Billion in 2026

With the approval of the latest package, the total value of housing benefits provided to Abu Dhabi citizens during 2026 has reached AED5.76 billion.

Since the establishment of Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, total housing benefits delivered to citizens have exceeded AED182 billion, benefiting more than 133,000 Emirati citizens and families.

The continued expansion of housing initiatives demonstrates Abu Dhabi’s long-term commitment to enhancing living standards, supporting economic stability, and creating sustainable communities throughout the emirate.
